“How I made a Difference” Paper

Throughout my experience at clinicals I have had the pleasure of taking care of many patients that each had different needs and desires while in the hospital. I have enjoyed taking care of each patient that I have had so far. But I must highlight for this assignment for this assignment that I had a great experience with and that I feel I made a positive impact on their life and their time in the hospital. With this patient I was doing my first ever med pass with my clinical instructor, and I was explaining to the patient what each medication they were receiving and why they are receiving each medication. I was very nervous, but I was confident in myself that I was delivering the proper information to the patient. The patient was so happy that I had explained each medication that they were about to receive because they had stated that it is very comforting to them that they know what medications they are taking. I had known that I had made a positive impact on this patient because they had the biggest smile on their face, but they had also trusted me to take care of them for the day and were very patient with me Aswell. It is very beneficial for patients’ mental status they are aware of medications that they are taking so they are not caught off guard by any medications that they may not know they are receiving.
