While comparing my final essay to some of my early drafts, some of my writing tendencies became obvious. These tendencies include me drifting off from my topic of the paper and talking about other topics. I also had a very common tendency of using the same transition word over and over again. The peer review was able to help me realize my mistakes so I can correct them for the final paper.
The process of revising the work multiple times showed the benefit of looking at the work after some time has passed and of getting comments from the peer review. I can take what I learned from the peer review and the revisions from my professor to better my writing in the future. While reading over my final paper, I found additional examples of words being repeated that needed to be removed. Being selective with the words that I use and efficient in how I use them, makes for a much more fluent and more powerful essay.
Having a peer review my paper before submission was very helpful because they were able to point out flaws in my essay that I did not realize at the time. I was able to go over the helpful comments that my peer editor made to help finalize this final paper. By focusing on specific flaws in my paper, I was able to fix them up to make my paper more effective with trying to promote the change that I am advocating for.
The final edition of the paper provides a great explanation for the change I am promoting for. This entire process assisted me on creating the best version of my paper possible, it is a great tool to use, and I will defiantly use it again when writing in the future.
